Another month has flown by. Today you get to share your monthly birthday celebrations with your Aunt Meredith as it is her 312th month birthday. :-) Your mommy especially enjoyed both of your birthdays by staying home due to Columbus Day.
This month, it seems that you are taking off with all kinds of tricks. Daily, you show us one more thing that you have mastered. You successfully blow raspberries over and over and over again. You love to babble, squeal, and giggle. We love to hear those noises as well!
You love to use those hands. You reach up and grab at our face if we get close to you. You keep your fingers in your mouth.
Even when taking a bottle.
You recognize our voices and tend to look our direction. Oh, and one of our favorites is that most days, after working a long day, your face lights up when you first see us. That will never get old.
You love mirrors so you can smile and talk to the baby!
You have mastered rolling from your back to your tummy. You are only rolling to the right side, but just tonight, Daddy and I noticed you going left. You are very strong while on your tummy and tend to like being on your tummy these days.
In fact, you tend to sleep on your tummy at night despite us starting you out on your back.
You love your brother and smile at him all the time. You have started wanting to touch him and just today went for his eyes. He's not as thrilled with you. Wonder why!! We know that your relationship though is going to blossom soon when you start eating and dropping things his way.
You are a thriving boy despite our month of sickness in this house. You are in 6-9 month clothes and have moved up to 5 ounces (all bottles) every 2-3 hours. This month, you got a stomach virus which did cause you to lose weight. While it scared your Mommy and Daddy, you handled it amazingly well. You then shared it with your Daddy and Grandpa. Your Daddy was so sick that he ended up having to go to the emergency room because he was so dehydrated. I somehow managed to escape which was good because it took all the energy I had to take care of you and your Daddy.
Your reflux symptoms flared this month so we had to switch your medicine. You managed to throw up at daycare 3 times in one week and equally the same amount of times at home. Luckily, now that you are on some new medicine, it seems that the reflux is back under control.
You continue to treat your Daddy and I to much interrupted sleep and many moments in the middle of the night. While we love seeing you, we would love it if you would learn to sleep a little better at night. You actually got on a pretty good routine of only waking up once or twice which wasn't bad but recently you've been up as often as 6 times.
Enough about your sleeping problems and back to the cutest thing I have ever laid eyes on.
I can't wait to see what this month brings. I love you sweet boy!
